Head Coach: Jim Young
     Coach Young is in his 7th year as the Varsity Coach with the Dimond Lady Lynx Basketball program.  Coach Young and his staff of 7 years are very dedicate to the Lady Lynx program.  This is the longest tenure of any coaching staff in the region.  They commit many hours to the program during the year including summer trips to national tournaments & camps, various leagues, and clinics.  The Dimond Lady Lynx Hoop camps have become one of the premier camps for girls basketball in the community.  The varsity program has qualified and competed at the state tournament 4 of the 6 years during Coach Young's tenure, winning the state 4A title in 2004 & 2006.  Coach Young recieved the Alaska State Coach of the Year honors during both of those state title runs.
 
This year’s team has the potential and ability to compete for the region and state title this year and we are looking forward to another successful season.  Coach Young graduated from the University of Alaska at Anchorage with a degree in education. He is an elementary teacher with the Anchorage School District, as well as the YMCA Youth Basketball Director for the Anchorage Community YMCA. To add to his many accomplishments, Coach Young has started the only college recruiting basketball camp in Alaska, with AKExposure.org

JV Coach:  Jason Stahl
    Coach Stahl is the Junior Varsity Coach of the Dimond Lady Lynx Basketball program.  The junior varsity team has been very competitive in the region the last few years.  They have also been invited to various varsity tournaments in the past, which includes the Ninilchik Tournament this upcoming February.  Coach Stahl attended the Colorado State University on a football scholarship, and received his Masters of Psychology from Middle Tennessee State University.  He is a school psychologist with the Anchorage School District.

C -Team Coach:  Jason MacDonald
    Coach MacDonald is the C Team coach with the Dimond Lady Lynx Basketball program.  The C Team has been the top program the last three years in region 4.  They have lost a total of 6 games the last three years.  Coach MacDonald received his degree in Education from Montana State University.  He is a PE & Health Teacher with the Anchorage School District.

Assistant Coach & Program Statistician:  Roger Plattner
     Coach Plattner is the main assistant and programs statistian for the Dimond Lady Lynx.  He dedicates numerous hours to the  program.  Coach Plattner has been involved with the 1A, 2A, 3A, & 4A state tournaments in the past as a statistian, as well as the Region Four Tournament.  He is also a statistian with the Alaska Wild football team.  Coach Plattner graduated from Alaska Pacific University with a Masters in Education.  He is an elementary teacher with the Anchorage School District.
